چکیده

Talus fractures, although rare, can lead to devastating complications of posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTA), mal-union, non-unions and avascular necrosis (AVN). The timing method fixation has been controversial, especially for open extruded fractures. purpose this study is present short term outcomes using a posterior talus arthroscopic reduction internal (TARIF) technique. We performed retrospective on 12 consecutive patients undergoing primary fractures from August 2020 January 2021. All cases were completely arthroscopically, utilizing approach 2-3 anterior 3.5mm cannulated, headless, compression screws placed . Patient demographics, fracture pattern, perioperative complications, radiographic findings collected. results evaluated by two musculoskeletal trained radiologist blinded the technique utilized. mean age our cohort was 37.3 years (range, 19-75), including 6 males females, with 58% nicotine. Motor vehicle accidents accounted injuries, followed falls gunshot wounds. Fracture location included 7 body 5 neck Hawkin’s type 2 (1), 3 (3), 4 (1). Five which had vascular tibial artery that underwent ligation debridement external fixation. Mean tourniquet time 87 minutes 0 – 88). Postoperatively, all articular surface restored within 2mm radiographs. No required antibiotics no follow up debridement’s performed. acute AVN or collapse recorded. Our short-term (6-13 months) indicate safe able restore surfaces. It also suggests an all-inside soft tissue preserving may reduce complications. Further needed evaluate PTA rates AVN.

Interference screw technique for arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation of compression fractures of the tibial plateau.

Arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation (ARIF) is recommended as state-of-the-art treatment for patients with pure compression fracture of the tibial plateau. We describe a new technique for ARIF of pure compression tibial plateau fractures that uses a cannulated, bioabsorbable interference screw. After a guide pin is placed in the center of the compressed fragment and a tamp is used to el...

Clinical Results of Percutaneous Fixation of Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures: A Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation Technique

Background: The pelvic ring fractures (PRF) and acetabular fractures (AF) are among the major orthopedic injuriesassociated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Open surgical stabilization is the standard treatment for themajority of these complications. Percutaneous minimally invasive surgical stabilization of the fractures has become anaccepted treatment method for th...

Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of Complex Radial Head Fractures

Fractures of the radial head have an incidence of about 1.7% to 5.4% of all adult fractures. These fractures are classified as simple or complex, depending upon whether there is an associated fracture or a ligamentous injury. Thorough clinical & radiological assessment should be done to differentiate simple fractures from complex fractures with concomitant elbow injury. The management of comple...

Arthroscopic reduction and fixation of coronoid fractures with an exchange rod—a new technique

BACKGROUND The ulnar coronoid process plays a central role in maintaining elbow stability. Some of its fractures were often combined with injury of bone and ligament. Arthroscopy enables perfect visualization to allow anatomical repair. METHODS From January 2012 to December 2013, six patients (four males, two females) with a mean age of 26.6 years were treated. The left and right ulnas were i...

Arthroscopic Reduction and Internal Fixation of a Rim Fracture

Femoroacetabular impingement is uncommonly associated to a rim fracture. Complete resection of the fragment might result in iatrogenic instability or poor femoral head coverage. In this report, we describe the step-by-step surgical technique of arthroscopic partial resection of a rim fracture, reduction and internal fixation of the remaining fragment to correct the impingement, and preserve the...
